Privacy Policy

Feral Baby Labs LLC ("we", "us") makes the Lingonberry app. This policy covers Lingonberry on iPhone and Android, and this website.
The short version
We don't collect, store, sell or share your personal information. Lingonberry has no account with us, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we don't run any server that receives your data.
Where your information lives
What you log in Lingonberry, such as feeds, sleep, diapers, growth, medication, notes, photos, and your child's name and birth date, is stored in these places, depending on how you set up the app:
- On your device. This is always true, and on a single phone it's the only place.
- On your family's server, if you share with family. That server is run by you or someone in your family, not by us. We have no access to it.
- In your private iCloud storage, if you turn on iCloud sync on iPhone. Your entries are end-to-end encrypted with keys in your own iCloud Keychain, so Apple can't read them. Apple can see basic bookkeeping, such as how many records there are, of what kind, and when they last changed.
- In your Android backup, if you use Lingonberry on a single Android phone and Android's automatic backup is on. That backup goes to your Google account and is covered by Google's privacy policy. Phones that sync with a family server don't include their records in this backup.
If whoever runs your family server turns on an optional notification relay, the relay service receives the text of the reminders it delivers.
What the app uses on your phone
- Camera, only to scan a family invite QR code. Camera images are not saved or sent anywhere.
- Notifications, to show reminders you set. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
- Photos, only the ones you pick to attach, through your phone's own photo picker. The app can't see the rest of your library.
What Apple and Google share with us
The App Store and Google Play give developers summary statistics, such as download counts, and crash reports from people who chose to share them with developers. These don't include what you've logged in the app, and we use them only to fix problems.
Children
Lingonberry is for parents and caregivers. It isn't meant to be used by children. We don't collect information about anyone, including the children whose care is recorded in the app.
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, we don't add you to any mailing list, and we'll delete the conversation if you ask.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no analytics. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
Deleting your information
We don't hold your app data, so there's nothing for us to delete. You can delete it yourself. The app's settings can erase everything on your phone, and on iPhone this also deletes the iCloud copy when iCloud sync is on. Deleting the app removes what's on that phone. Data on a family server is deleted by whoever runs it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
